Konzept | Concept

In einem der größten Stadtentwicklungsgebiete Europas, genauer am Südrand der Seestadt Aspern, und damit an der symbolischen und realen Schnittstelle zwischen neu definierter Urbanität und einer durch Entschleunigung und Naturnähe geprägten Village-Atmosphäre, findet sich das Projekt »4Plus«.
Im Vordergrund stehen die 4 Themen: leistbar, lebenswert, belebt und nachhaltig. Ausgangspunkt ist die Idee, dass ein »Mehr«, ein »Plus« all dieser Bereiche auch beim stark kostenorientierten Wohnbau möglich ist.
Umgesetzt in der architektonischen Planung wird das vor allem durch die thematisch stimmige Aufreihung von 4 Punkthäusern, die ein optimiertes

Verhältnis zwischen Außenfläche und Nutzfläche ermöglichen.

Die resultierende Luftigkeit des Ensembles zeigt sich in vielfältigen Blickbeziehungen, die im Innenbereich durch Oberlicht und Luftraum in den Stiegenhäusern fortgesetzt werden und hier auch stockwerkübergreifende Begegnungsmöglichkeiten schaffen.
Die konkrete Nutzung der großzügigen Gemeinschaftsräume soll im Wechselspiel gemeinschaftlicher und individueller Bedürfnisse erst im Laufe der Zeit durch die BewohnerInnen selbst festgelegt werden. Ein Selbstbestimmungsprozess, der dabei helfen soll, das Wohnen als sozialen und partizipativen Akt zu verstehen.

In one of the largest urban development areas in Europe, more precisely at the southern edge of Seestadt Aspern, and thus at the symbolic and real interface between newly defined urbanity and a village atmosphere characterized by deceleration and proximity to nature, there is the project »4Plus«.In the foreground are the four themes: affordable, livable, enlivened and sustainable.The starting point is the idea that a »more«, a »plus« of all these areas is also possible with highly cost-oriented housing.Implemented in the architectural planning, this is mainly due to the thematically coherent array of 4

tower blocks, which allows an optimized efficiency between the outer surface and usable space. The resulting airiness of the ensemble is reflected in a variety of visual relationships, which are continued in the inner area by skylights and airy space in the stairwells and here also create cross-floor opportunities for encounters.The concrete use of the generous common rooms should be determined by the inhabitants themselves in the interplay of common and individual needs only over time. A process of self-determination that helps to understand living as a social and participatory act.
